Space & Accommodation :

To achieve the best group dynamic each workshop is designed for small groups to a maximum of eight people, on a first come first served basis. You may wish to verify availability and accommodation details by phone or email.

Early reservation, especially for high summer : ensures a workshop place, choice of accommodation, and best price between : Gites, apartments or sharing houses, either in the village, on a nearby farm or in a vineyard.

IMPORTANT       RENDEZVOUS :
You can be collected and returned to the TGV station in Aix-en-Provence, OR Marseille Airport .

All the Workshops begin Saturday evening with an aperitif at 6pm, and Workshop introduction, followed by dinner together at 7pm. They finish around mid-day the following Saturday. So its important to reserve your return transport for late in the afternoon, unless you are driving or staying on.

Driving :
For those driving themselves through the garden of France and / or for more independence*, see outline map. By arrangement ( in advance ) it is also possible to extend your stay in the village of Ansouis,* and then continue to explore Provence, for example : the Gorges de Verdon, Chateau of the Marquis de Sade etc. or simply to flop.

To bring :

You will need your own camera equipment. Digital camera, Ideally: 2x batteries the charger, 2x memory cards and cables. A DVD of all your work is included in the W/ks fee.

Market day

OR your film camera, a small amount of Ilford Multigrade paper & film to conform with my chemicals. Film processing & contact prints are provided for you overnight.

It is intended that you spend a minimum but constructive time in the darkroom, or on a computer, and the maximum in sunlight or even in the pleasure of a shadow.

La Cuisine :
Eating in France is of course important and a great pleasure. However on location I recommend a combination of picnics, Cafés or very reasonably priced restaurants. Some of the accommodations have fully equipped kitchens, though I imagine we may want to explore a restaurant or two, for the occasional evening out, dining in the open air.
